My name is Dr. Andrea L. S. Moore my pronouns are she, her, hers. I identify as an evolutionary scholar activist. I received my Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from the University of California, Davis. In addition to currently being aTenured Associate Professor in Ethnic Studies at Sacramento State, I am the founder of DreaMoore LLC, my brand focuses on Ethnic History and Socio-Cultural production which offers educational and cultural creation consulting for academic and media institutions.

Her Focus
I am here to assist in that restorative and transformative work called "equity, diversity, and inclusion." With a focus on the Ethnic Studies model, I also specialize in African American centered courses teaching, “Protest in Hip Hop,” “Black Images in Popular Culture” and “Cinematic Representations of Pan African Identities.”

My research encompasses Bay Area’s legacy as the epicenter for social movements, from the 1960’s Black Power Movement to the Black Lives Matter Movement. I focus on examining historical moments that took place during the Bay Area’s Hyphy Movement, "Hyphy Sparked a Social Movement,” and exploring how mainstream culture promotes awareness about social protests movements and advocating for intersectional justice.
